Great News

Robyn's brain surgery went very well. They successfully removed the largest tumor which was causing the severe headaches. Because she tolerated the surgery so well, they will possibly follow-up with "gamma knife" radiation treatment later this week to address some of the other tumors. The neurosurgeon likened this gamma knife zapping of the tumors to "spot welding." Over the ensuing 2-3 weeks Robyn will have whole brain radiation. When she recovers from all of the radiation, they will decide the most effective chemo treatment. Thanks for all of your good wishes and prayers.

Hi Ken:
As one of Robyn's students, I am so glad that you have this blog so that we can read updates to Robyn's condition. My husband and I and our Sunday School class and other friends are praying for her and will continue to do so. Take care of yourself too.
