DIFFICULT DAYS
The past few weeks have been very challenging for Robyn. She no longer has the strength to move at all. She has to be repositioned in bed, and often moving her causes her to wince with discomfort. She appears to understand what she hears, but her responses are very limited and sometimes all she can do is blink a yes or no. She is now on morphine almost continuously to manage her pain. So far it's working most of the time. She seems to have the best response when she listens to music. Occasionally she will move her lips slightly in response to the music. She especially responds to "A Song for Mama" by Boyz II Men. Son Jason is stationed in Kentucky and calls several times a day to check on mom and make a special request that we play that song for him. When she hears this song, she get's a big smile when they sing the words "mama I love you".
