Carcelli Trophy Stays Put

Roncelli holds on: Trailing by two holes in a Car-Celli Trophy match played Aug 31, 2010, Jim Carnagie came from behind to tie the match going into the final hole, after going par/birdie. The final hole, a challenging par 5 seemed suited to Carnagie's long-drive superiority, however the match ended in a tie as both players finished with a par on the #1 handicap hole. Thus, Carnagie failed to recapture the trophy, since the reigning champion, Roncelli, retains the trophy in the event of a tie.

Looks like a pretty evenly matched contest between Carnagie (Carnegie?) and Roncelli. Could these two long-term buddies be seriously challenging each other? Or are they just being gracious in letting their counterpart win from time to time?
