Positively Simulating
Today Robyn had her radiation oncology consultation and simulation. We watched a video explaining the whole-brain-radiation process and had a Q & A session with the doctor, nurse and assistant. They then prepared a plastic mesh mask that is used to hold her head in place during the radiation procedure. Next. they did a practice run simulation of what the actual treatment process would be. The actual radiation treatments won't begin until Monday morning. Then she'll have daily treatments for the next 2 or 3 weeks. As usual, Robyn was upbeat and eager to get on with the whole process. She is also recovering very nicely from her brain surgery. She is walking without assistance and has no unsteadiness. Overall she's feeling pretty good.

Ken, Please tell Robyn that we are thinking of her. We miss her and are eager to see her come back to school. Our prayers are with her and the family.
