Dr. Hunter, the neurologist, thinks there's a settlement of calcium effecting the inner ear. She's prescribed benadryl and antivert(?) to combat the Vertigo. The cardiologist thinks that the EKG is OK relative to Grampa's history and condition. Grampa's still dizzy, plus he's got some throat and congestion discomfort...probably from all the violent vomitting he was experiencing. All in all, it looks like he's on the mend.

He is off the IV meds for his Vertigo and is taking oral meds. He's still dizzy and not as chipper as last night. He's supposed to see a Neurologist, Dr. Hunter, today. Uncle Ron and Gramma are at the hospital.

The CT scan and the blood work look good (normal for his age). The Vertigo has diminished from the IV meds. He's feeling much better. He said, "I thought I was checking out". He was glad that we convinced him to go to the hospital. He wanted to let "everyone" know that he was thankful for all their concern. He was feeling good, and a little emotional. He was able to convince gramma to go home and get some rest.

Grampa's back in the hospital. He coudn't walk because he couldn't get his balance. He was vomitting severely and had some "bouncing" vision. He couldn't stand up. Prelilminary emergency room feedback is that he has vertigo....checking the cause. And he has a "change" in his ekg from last time in October. "they've always been ugly, but this one shows some diminished function" ...he pointed to three lines on the ekg that were trending down instead of up. He said that needed looking in to.His enzymes look good. They're sending him for a CT scan of the head to check out the vertigo. They don't think it's a stroke, but they're checking. They'll have the tests done in about two hours, but they'll almost certainly keep him tonight and he'll see his heart doctor Kahn or someone from his group tomorrow.
